UPDATE from SHS Administration - March 20, 2020

As you are aware, we are currently living through a historic event which is impacting every household in the world we live in.  In times like these, it is especially important that we support each other to make it through.  I want to ensure all members of the Colt Nation family, that the staff at South High School is doing everything it can to provide learning opportunities for its students.

This week, the SHS teaching staff has worked diligently to set up a distance learning platform that will allow them to continue to engage with students.  Many of you already have experience using Google Classroom to interact with your teachers and classmates.  Google Classroom will be the tool used by most teachers to communicate with students until we return to the classrooms at South High School.  At this point, all students should have received an invite from their teachers to join their Google Classrooms.  Students can now login to Google Classroom to see their invites and join their classes. If you notice that one of your classes is missing, and you haven’t received an invitation, please contact your teacher by email to let them know.   You will then be added to their class. Remember that you must use your D60 student email address to access your classes.

Just a reminder that online instruction will officially begin on March 30th.  Please note, D60 is developing a plan to assist high school students who may not have access to an electronic device or the Internet.  Details will be shared as soon as they are available.
